Valeria, Hanan, Zayed, Suhana, Nabil and others live in the Netherlands and all have a migrant background. Some are children of migrants, others came themselves; by choice or forced by disaster. They, along with Kees, Casper, Annie and many others tell stories of moments when they noticed that cultural differences played a role. They learned that those differences are allowed to be there, that in the end we all want the same thing: connection with each other. From amazement to connection.
They share those stories here, and Connect2Us puts the stories into perspective so that you, too, can better understand your experiences with cultural differences.
The stories have been chronicled by Connect2Us volunteers and posted here. If you read something that is unclear or could be improved in your language please let us know. Also if you want to share a story with us yourself.
