Valeria, Hanan, Zayed and many others are people living in the Netherlands, all with their own stories of migration. Some are children of migrants, others have come by themselves, either through their own choice or forced by disaster. Still others are expats, having been relocated for their work. Together with Kees, Casper, Annie and other Dutch nationals, they recount stories about things that stood out to them when dealing with new people whose cultural background is different from what they are used to. Connect2Us shares their stories, and puts them in perspective so that you too can spot these subtle differences of approach, of understanding, in short: of culture. By training ourselves to be aware of how each person is culturally unique, we can connect better to each other in everyday situations of intercultural interactions.
